Last night, while rambling with AVPs for Mrs. Lapuz' son Jerb on the occassion of Ateneo Grade School open house, I was frozen by a text message read to me by Ate Joji. It was somethinig about a young grdae 4 AGS student ran over by a car. With the impact of the shock, I managed to finish the AVPs.

His nick was Amiel.
Friend of God in Hebrew.

I do not know this boy personally. Ate Joji must have known the family though. I was making an AVP of Jerb's class... I was using "Take and Receive" as the background song for the slides. As I work on the editing, the music keeps on repeating the words that made me sad... take and receive O Lord my liberty. Take all my will, my mind, my memory, all things I hold, and all I own..are Thine. Thine was the gift to me, I all resign....i cannot help but remember the boy by the name Amiel. friend of God. He was said to be not feeling well that day. he must have not known it will be a special and tragic day. a boy so young. very promising. and in an instant, all turned white...

The Ateneo fondly calls them masters... little masters inside the campus. i think the title suits him well. nevertheless, Master Amiel has gone to his heavenly Master. just in an instant. so much like my mother. And in there, wherever that there might be located, Master Amiel is playing football the Atenean way, eating footlong sandwiches and perhaps laughing out loud.

no tears. no more blood.

kudos.
