These feet, these shabby, crumpled, and veiny and small feet once patiently brought me to kindergarten class day after day; would walk miles to augment the needs of her beloved grandchildren; would make sure that we get the choicest from the talipapa. Now that she can’t, I fucking make sure she gets what my salary could afford her best.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
