As my world become smaller, I needed a good distraction from everything and to focus my energy and thoughts on the many years that I will spend in the seminary. Good thing that there is an abandoned green house near the gymnasium and it seemed like no seminarian would like to venture into gardening. With no background whatsoever in this agricultural activity, I went ahead with a plan.
Father Prefect allowed me to take charge of the vegetable garden. So aside from Latin, philosophy, and my budding music career as tambourine player and soloist, I'm adding potato, tomato, cabbage, hot pepper, cucumber, squash, and mint to my credential.
Everything grows abundantly in this part of the country. I hope that during my stay here, my faith, too, grows just like the mustard seed in the Gospel. Tanim lang ng tanim.
